Veo 3.1 Models, Resolutions & Credits

Compare Lite, Fast, and Quality with 720p, 1080p, and 4K credit costs, duration controls, aspect ratios, and model eligibility in Veo3o1.

Veo3o1 separates the model preset from the output resolution. Select both based on the stage of work: inexpensive exploration, a stronger working draft, or a selected final.

The Veo3o1 ledger uses whole credits, so fractional provider values are rounded up. The generator displays the exact reservation for the current selection before submission; use that displayed amount as the final reference.

Resolutions

720p

Use 720p for prompt tests, composition review, reference-image validation, and internal drafts. Resolve creative problems before paying for more pixels.

1080p

Use 1080p for standard HD delivery, web placements, presentations, and social publishing after the shot direction is stable.

4K

Use 4K when the destination needs a large canvas, cropping, compositing, or a high-resolution master. It is usually unnecessary for early iteration.

Duration and aspect ratio

The current duration options are 4, 6, and 8 seconds where supported. Reference Images mode currently requires 8 seconds.

Aspect-ratio options are:

  • 16:9 for landscape video;
  • 9:16 for vertical video;
  • Auto where the selected mode supports it.

Reference Images mode requires 16:9 or 9:16 and does not accept Auto.

Result-action credits

Eligible completed videos may offer these separate actions:

ActionCredits
Enhance to 1080p8
Enhance to 4K60
Extend with Lite15
Extend with Fast30
Extend with Quality225

Each action creates a separate result and reserves its own displayed credit amount. Read Extend and upscale results for the workflow and limitations.

  1. Test the idea with Lite at 720p.
  2. Refine the prompt or image inputs one variable at a time.
  3. Confirm duration and aspect ratio.
  4. Move to Fast or Quality only when the shot direction is stable.
  5. Generate or enhance to the resolution required by the destination.
  6. Download selected results before their temporary links expire.

The pricing guide explains subscriptions and credit packages. The Lite vs Fast vs Quality article focuses on choosing a preset for each production stage.
