Veo 3.1 settings, results and troubleshooting

Check prompt and image limits, advanced controls, task status and temporary result links in Veo3o1, and find out what to do when a task is delayed or fails.

Set up a text-only shot

Choose Text to Video to generate without images. Describe the subject, action and camera movement, and keep your prompt within 4000 characters.

Choose a model, duration (4, 6, and 8 seconds), aspect ratio and resolution, then check the required credits. Some selections update other controls to keep the task compatible, so review the final settings before submitting. See Models, Resolutions & Credits for the available options.

For image-guided work, use First & Last Frames with a starting image and an optional ending image. Reference Images accepts 1–3 images with Fast and Lite; this mode uses 8-second videos and does not offer Auto.

Use JPEG, PNG, or WebP files, each no larger than 10 MiB.

Newly selected images stay local while you prepare the task. They are uploaded when you submit a generation with sufficient credits. Uploading requires sign-in and a positive available credit balance, but the upload itself does not deduct credits.

Advanced controls

Prompt translation is enabled by default, and the setting is sent to the provider. If exact wording matters, compare completed results with it on and off. Choose the website language separately in the language menu.

Watermark accepts optional text up to 100 characters. Leaving the field blank does not guarantee that the result will have no provider watermark.

Seed accepts a whole number from 10000 to 99999. Keep the seed and other settings in your notes when comparing attempts. The same seed does not guarantee an identical video.

The prompt and watermark limits count some symbols, including emoji, as more than one character.

Follow and save the task

Use My Works to check a task after leaving the generator. Pending and processing mean that a final result is not yet available. A paused progress display does not by itself mean that the task has stopped.

The timer shows elapsed time; the animation is not a completion estimate. Processing time varies with the queue and provider conditions.

In the generator, select Download video on a completed result to open its link, then save the file to your device.

New videos appear in My Works for up to 14 days from task creation. Result links are temporary and can stop working sooner, so save files you want to keep promptly.

Eligible completed videos can be extended or enhanced as separate tasks with their own credit requirements and results. Check the credits shown before starting an available action.

If a task fails

  • Upload rejected: check the file format and size, then select a valid file.
  • Pending or processing: check the task in My Works before sending another generation request.

A network timeout does not establish that the task failed. If submission is still unconfirmed, check My Works and contact support with the task ID or error message, if available, before retrying.

For a generation task with a confirmed provider task ID, the service checks for a result before applying the 24-hour timeout rule. Once the service confirms a qualifying failure or timeout, it restores the reserved credits with their original expiry date. An unconfirmed generation submission needs separate confirmation; reaching that time limit alone does not mean its credits have been restored.

If a task's status or credit balance still looks wrong, contact support with the task ID or error message, if available. Credit restoration is separate from a payment refund; see Account, credits and billing.

If a completed video differs from what you asked for, review the Prompt Troubleshooting Checklist before deciding whether to submit another task, and check the required credits again.
